The Depressing Side of Social Media

Don’t get me wrong, I love social media. I love that I can stay connected to all my friends and family back in New Zealand, I love that I can stay connected to all my clients and yoga students through my business page, and I love a good scroll through Instagram! There are so many awesome things about social media and it definitely has its advantages.

But I also think it has some major disadvantages.

A Note About Fear

A Note About FearFear. It’s imbedded in each and every one of us in some way, whether in a full-blown phobia state or just a little knot in your stomach that stops you in your tracks.

Fear is that voice in your head that says things like, “But what if I fail? What if I look stupid and people laugh at me? What if I lose all my money and can’t afford my rent and end up living in a cardboard box?” That’s fear. Read the rest of this post »

Finding Peace in MindfulnessAt the beginning of this month I headed over to the Sunshine Coast for a little training in Mindfulness Coaching, and I have to be honest, I had no idea what to expect.
