How to Get Unstuck and See Clearly Again

Okay, it’s confession time. How to Get Unstuck and See Clearly Again

In the last two months I’ve managed to get myself completely off track. I’ve been unsettled, I’ve let certain things slip from my daily life, and I’ve felt up in the air. I haven’t been meditating. I haven’t been doing much yoga. I haven’t been blogging. And I’m feeling… stuck.

In my own defense, there’s been a lot going on. That move I talked about in my last blog? Well, it happened! The hubby and I uprooted our lives and drove 1,800kms south to start a new one in Mandurah. Read the rest of this post »

The Depressing Side of Social Media

Don’t get me wrong, I love social media. I love that I can stay connected to all my friends and family back in New Zealand, I love that I can stay connected to all my clients and yoga students through my business page, and I love a good scroll through Instagram! There are so many awesome things about social media and it definitely has its advantages.

But I also think it has some major disadvantages.

People have a tendency to display just certain parts of their lives online. Read the rest of this post »

A Note About Fear

A Note About FearFear. It’s imbedded in each and every one of us in some way, whether in a full-blown phobia state or just a little knot in your stomach that stops you in your tracks.

Fear is that voice in your head that says things like, “But what if I fail? What if I look stupid and people laugh at me? What if I lose all my money and can’t afford my rent and end up living in a cardboard box?” That’s fear. Read the rest of this post »

The One Reason to Eat Healthily (and It’s Nothing to do With Your Weight!)

The One Reason to Eat Healthily (and It’s Nothing to do With Your Weight!)I wrote an update on my facebook page the other day that gathered a bit of feedback. I was really just musing on my thoughts, but those thoughts seem to have struck a bit of a cord with some people. So I thought, let’s delve a little deeper into it, shall we?

Here’s what I wrote:

I’ve been thinking about WHY people choose to become healthier, or at least, begin to eat better.
Usually it’s about aesthetics – how you look.

Mid-Year Goals Update – New Directions, Expanding Desires

Mid-Year Goals Update – New Directions, Expanding DesiresBack in January I wrote a blog about my goals for the coming year, and in the last couple of weeks I’ve felt this desire to revisit it. We’re over halfway through the year now (can you believe it?) and so much has happened! Things that I didn’t see coming, things I didn’t expect, and things that I only ever dreamed about too. I guess that’s life right??

I do think it’s important to make goals, and it’s just as important to look back and see what you once aimed for. Read the rest of this post »

Diets, Body Image and Divine Femininity

Diets, Body Image and Divine FemininityYesterday was a momentous day for me. It was the day of the You & Your Wellbeing workshop, and it was hands down the most incredible day I’ve had the blessing to be part of. 50 women in one room, oh man! You know what it’s like with that many women in one space? The energy was electric!

And, the energy was positive. Open, welcoming, loving, genuine. These are feelings that women do best, yes??

So for four hours (we ran over by a whole hour and no one minded!) we did yoga, listened to inspirational talks, talked about – and ate – great food, and meditated. Read the rest of this post »

How Did Your Year Stack Up? 2014 in Review!

How Did Your Year Stack Up 2014 in Review! Can you even believe 2014 is nearly over?? I certainly can’t! Apart from being one of the quickest years in history, this year has also been the most rewarding. For me anyway.

So let’s take a look back at our year, shall we?

When I think about reviewing my year, I’m not thinking about what went on in the world. I’m thinking about what went on in my heart, in my mind, and in my soul. How did I grow, learn evolve, exist? Read the rest of this post »
